Spaghetti Aglio E Olio

The easiest and quickest pasta recipe! This come together in minutes

Yield- 1 portion 

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves of garlic sliced thin

1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes 

1/4 cup cherry tomatoes cut in half

6 fresh basil leaves

200 grams spaghetti 

1 tablespoon salt plus extra for seasoning 

Method:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, season with 1 tablespoon of salt.

  2. Add spaghetti to boiling water and cook 8-10 minutes until firm to the bite.

  3. In a sauté pan over medium heat add the olive oil, once the oil is warm add the sliced garlic.

  4. Sauté the garlic until golden about 1-2 minutes, add the chilli flakes and stir, cook another 30 seconds.

  5. Add cherry tomatoes and cook 3-5 minutes on low heat until the tomatoes are cooked down and soft.

  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss, season with salt about 1/4 teaspoon.

  7. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
